Cisplatin can also be in the treatment of various cancers, including sarcomas, carcinomas, lymphomas, bladder cancer, and cervical cancer. Cisplatin is in a combination with other drugs such as bleomycin and vinblastine to treat testicular cancer. Some of the symptoms of these diseases include bloody urine, hematuria, and pain in affected parts, frequent urination, vaginal discharge, ulceration, diarrhea, and headache. Cisplatin is an antineoplastic agent. Cisplatin works by stopping cancer cells from growing and reproducing the effects brought about by such conditions.

    Cisplatin dose is dependent on the type of cancer one is suffering from. Most doctors will prescribe a different regimen to different patient with the same disease depending on the heath condition and other factors of the body that may stimulate side effects.     • Testicular cancer: 20 mg/m2 daily for 5 days.
    • Ovarian cancer: 75-100 mg/m2 once every 4 weeks
