    Peganone is used to prevent and control seizures. It works by reducing the abnormal electrical activity in the brain that causes seizures. It belongs to a class of drugs called hydantoins. Peganone is an oral antiepileptic of the hydantoin series chemically identified as 3-ethyl-5-phenyl-2,4-imidazolidinedione.

    Peganone dosage is dependent on the individual that it is being administered to. The following dosage is an average dose and could differ among individuals. Follow your medical professional's directions for best results.

    Peganone is administered orally in 4 to 6 doses that are divided daily. Peganone should be taken after food, and doses should be spaced as evenly as practicable.
