  • Phenavent Uses

Hay fever and allergic rhinitis occur together in many cases. Their signs and symptoms include nasal congestion, clear runny nose, sneezing, itching of the eyes and nose and excess production of the tears. Phenavent is used to treat:

    • Cough
    • Chest congestion
    • Stuffy nose

These occur due to the common cold, allergies, breathing illnesses and hay fever. Hay fever is an allergy that takes place as a result of the pollen or dust exposure where the eyes and nose mucous membranes become itchy and inflamed leading to a runny nose and watery eyes.

Guaifenesin works by loosening and thinning of the mucus in the lungs making it easier to cough up the mucus. Phenylephrine works by relieving symptoms of a stuffy nose.
