Brave the Storm with Zozo and Her Friends on a Beachside Adventure In Travels with Zozo... in the Storm, Zozo embarks on an exciting beachside adventure with her fun-loving human family along the peaceful shores of the Eastern United States. There, she discovers the wonders of nature, friendship, and the beauty of change. At first, Zozo spends her days playing games, making new animal friends, and enjoying cozy naps under the sun. One afternoon, she has a vivid dream about sailing to the mysterious Sargasso Sea, a place her turtle friends have told her about. The turtles share that they often swim there for food and shelter, sparking Zozo's curiosity and sense of adventure. But soon, dark clouds roll in, and a fierce storm begins to form. Strong winds howl, and rain pours down, sending Zozo, her family, and all the creatures of the beach racing to find shelter. Zozo and her family seek refuge in a safe house atop a hill, but the loud thunder and bright flashes of lightning make her nervous. Worried about her animal friends at the beach, she wonders if the turtles and other creatures are safe from the wild weather. Once the storm passes, Zozo returns to the beach with her family to find new flowers blooming and baby sea turtles hatching from their nest. Zozo realizes that, though the storm was frightening, it helped bring about beautiful new beginnings. This heartwarming story is perfect for young readers who love animals, nature, and a little adventure. With themes of resilience, friendship, and the beauty of change, Travels with Zozo... in the Storm is a story kids will want to revisit again and again. Beautiful story full of wonder and nature I'd never heard of the Sargasso Sea, but really thought the book was a clever idea, especially with the additional information in the front of the book. The graphics were colorful & the story is engaging but simple enough for a preschooler. Very well done! Perfect introduction to our watery world for a kindergartener My 5 year old absolutely loves this book. He has been interested in water-related books for awhile but many of them are still too hard with too much going on. I find this book has the perfect balance and love the art style. Definitely a great find! Constantly read again and again A lovely, sweet, well written story that we literally never tire of. Our family owns nearly 200 children's books, so we do a whole lot of reading in this house. And we still, time and again, come back to Zozo. Never a month passes without reading a Zozo story, rarely a week. We love this new book so much that I'm back today to order a copy for a friend's granddaughter. Storm is wonderful and it goes nicely with Reef and River Cave. Great story, especially if you're a Floridian! I bought this to read to first graders at school during the hurricane season. It's a great story, but even more impactful because we live in a coastal community. This is a story of adventure, friendship and fun, but it's very real how hurricanes sweep through our area. It's good to remind kids about the benefits of nature amid the destruction. The kids loved it! My Daughter's Favorite Books My toddler has loved reading books since about 8 months old. We have so many books but these have been by far the longest running repeats. All the Travels with Zozo... series books have the sweetest opening three sentences that my daughter memorized quickly ("Zozo is a hoppity, floppity, huggable, snuggable pet bunny..."). Love A.J.'s books! The illustrations are also beautiful. I actually enjoy reading these with her! Buy this book for your family! If you want to show your kids of the world's beauty, buy this book and ALL the books in the Travels with Zozo series! I love that being in a foreign place seems so natural because there are always friends for Zozo to make and new things to learn. Engaging book Got my wiggly kiddo to sit still while doing his bedtime routine. Lots of fun characters on all the pages and it has a wonderful message about events like storms bringing destruction also leading to good things like fresh water for the flowers to bloom. Loved this book. A.J. Atlas is the creator of the Travels with Zozo... illustrated children's book series. The adventures follow an adorable pet bunny as she vacations around the world with her human family. Writing a series with each story as completely unique as the place it's set in is a challenge Atlas enthusiastically embraces. Whether readers meet flamingos and viscachas on the Bolivian salt flats, elephants and baboons near Zambia and Zimbabwe's great waterfall, or Icelandic horses under the Northern Lights, the widely differing settings provide a backdrop for readers to meet diverse characters and rich cultures. Atlas' extensive travel experiences in nearly fifty countries and throughout all fifty U.S. states provide firsthand insight into the settings for the books. From there, Atlas' whimsical sense of humor, active imagination, and creative story
