For a milder flavor, harvest when green, but if you love blistering hot peppers, let them fully mature to a deep red.Item Details Apache Chili Peppers The Apache chili plant is an attractive dwarf chili pepper that is quite hot on the Scoville scale (70,000-80,000 SHU) the plant is small and bushy and has an exceptionally high yield of fruits, this small and easy to grow plant can be grown on the window sill, in the conservatory or on the patio. The Apache is a hot chili pepper variety which is very easy to grow, the plant is very attractive and compact growing to around 45cm high and can become quite bushy in shape, the Apache plant will always produce an abundant crop of about 2-4cm long fruits which mature from green to red, if you pick and use the chili peppers when they are green you will find them fairly mild, however if you wait for them to fully mature to a deep red then they are very hot, Easy to grow and very hardy for a chili plant, this is a good variety which overwinters easily without having to cut it back.
