Concert Pieces Book I for Bassoon and Piano is a diverse collection of fifteen wonderful pieces of classical music, many by women composers, arranged for early-stage players of around Grade 1-3 standard with a piano part included in the book. The pieces are half or one page in length; notes range from low D to C above the stave but most pieces are well within this range, and all are in easy keys. An information page with the tempo and expression markings used in the book is included and a soundtrack is available to download from our website. The bassoon part may be copied for performance purposes or alternatively, a separate bassoon part may also be purchased. Includes music by: Cécile Chaminade, Christoph Willibald Gluck, Cornelius Gurlitt, Élisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre, Henry Purcell, Ida Henrietta da Fonseca, Louise Ferranc, Luise Adolpha La Beau, Marie Jaël, Mélanie Bonis, Mykola Lysenko, Stephen Heller, and Teresa Carreño. I have all of them! I'm an oboe and double bass teacher (I know!) based in Dublin, and I am very much a Christmas enthusiast. I'm known among my students for wearing Christmas socks 365 days a year (they've checked!!) I've taken on some double bass students this year, and I'll be buying your double bass Xmas duets to play with them. Given the brilliance of the oboe books, I'm really looking forward to it. Many thanks and keep up the good work! Eimear Hello - I love the arrangements. Have a lovely Christmas and thanks for providing beginner bassoonists with some great music!! Pauline Hi there! I have been wishing for a long time there was such a thing as instrument specific theory books, and now I've found them. I intend to get your whole selection of flute books- they are excellent. I just wanted to tell you how great I think your books are! xxx Janine The children are loving the books! Particularly my little violinist who needs a fair amount of encouragement to get practising but he’s so excited about Christmas that I can’t stop him sight reading his way through the carols... !! Clare May I say how pleased I was to find that you now produce a piano accompaniment to go with the flute/clarinet parts. I already have your music which is proving to be most useful and now that I have the piano part it will make our playing even better. Many thanks. Sylvia I am loving your books. Jessie
