  • Eskalith Uses

Eskalith is commonly prescribed to treat bipolar (manic-depressive) disorder. It reduces extreme behaviors and stabilizes the mood of the patients who use it, which allows them to lead more stable and healthy lives. Its primary purpose is to reduce manic episodes and make manic episodes less severe when they do occur. Manic episodes are often characterized by feelings of exaggerated well-being, aggressive behaviors, paranoia, speech that is loud and/or rapid, irritability, and anxiousness. While Eskalith reduces these symptoms, it doesn't have much of a corrective effect on depressive episodes. However, reducing the severity of manic episodes can often make depressive episodes much less severe.
