    Most Narcotic analgesics are very effective on patients that undergo intense pain and Nalbuphine is no exception. Apart from its major use in containing severe or moderate painful conditions, Nalbuphine has been found to be effective in pruritus. This is the itching that occurs as a result of the administration of mu-agonist medications. To that effect, Nalbuphine can be used to contain the resultant itching. Other major uses of the drug are in the list below:

  • Nalbuphine Dosage

    Nalbuphine is administered in injectable solution unlike other drugs which are given in form of tablets.     • 10 mg/70 kg of IM, IV or subcutaneous administered every 3-6 hours

    • 0.25-0.5 mg/kg of IV only once
