  • Nalex Ac Uses

    Nalex AC contains a combination of antitussive and antihistamines. The antitussive effects certain parts of the brain, which, as a result, eliminates the urge to cough. Antihistamines help reduce symptoms such as watery eyes and sneezing by blocking the action of histamine. Histamine is a compound involved in sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose. Nalex Ac may also be used for other purposes not indicated above. Do not use this drug if you have used MAO inhibitor for the last 14 days.

  • Nalex Ac Dosage

    You should take Nalex Ac as directed by the doctor/pharmacist, do not increase or take it for longer than recommended. Nalex AC is a habit forming drug and should not be shared with others. If the symptoms do not improve after seven days, talk to your doctor. Measure the dosage with the special spoon given with the medicine to get the right dosage:

    • Adult: 5 mL to 10 mL every 4 to 6 hours.

    The maximum dosage should not exceed 30 mL per day.

    • Children (6 - 11 years): 5 mL 4 to 6 hours.

    The maximum dosage should not exceed 15 mL per day.

    • Children (12 years or older): 5 mL to 10 mL every 4 to 6 hours.

    The maximum dosage should not exceed 30 mL per day

  • Nalex Ac Side Effects

    Do not take Nalex AC if you are allergic to it or its ingredients. You may experience drowsiness and dizziness and you are advised not to drive or operate heavy machinery. You may also experience dry mouth, but you can drink water, or chew a sugarless gum to relieve it. Other common effects you may have include: headache, nausea and constipation. Tell your doctor if you have these rare but serious side effects:

    Other drugs may interact with Nalex AC and affect how it works or increase the severity of side effects. Tell the doctor about all other drugs that you are currently using. You should not take Nalex AC if you are suffering severe liver disease, blockage in your stomach or intestines, severe colitis or toxic megacolon, inflammatory bowel disease, severe constipation.
