Natesto is administered intranasally three times daily (6 to 8 hours apart). The patient is advised to completely depress the pump one time in each nostril to receive the total dose. The maximum concentration for Natesto is achieved within approximately 40 minutes of administration and has a half-life ranging from 10 to 100 minutes. The total testosterone concentrations of the patient should be checked periodically after treatment begins. Medication should be discontinued if the test shows the total testosterone concentrations consistently exceeding 1050 ng/dL. Other alternative medication should be considered if the total testosterone concentrations are consistently below 300 ng/dL. Below you will find a typical dosage of Natesto.
- 11 mg of testosterone (2 pump actions, one per nostril)
