Natesto is a nasal gel used as hormone replacement therapy in adult males with a condition called hypogonadism, associated with a deficiency or absence of endogenous testosterone. Testosterone hormones are key to normal male growth and development of sex organs. Testosterone affects the growth and maturation of the prostate glands, seminal vesicles, penis, and scrotum. It is also responsible for the development and growth of male hair, such as facial, pubic, chest, and axillary hair.     Natesto treats low levels of testosterone. Some medicines and genetic conditions can make a man experience low testosterone levels. There are other several conditions that can also lead to low testosterone including injury to the testicles, testicular cancer, hormonal disorders, infections, HIV/AIDS, chronic liver or kidney disease, type 2 diabetes, obesity etc. Below you will find the uses of Natesto.

  • Natesto Dosage

    Natesto is administered intranasally three times daily (6 to 8 hours apart). The patient is advised to completely depress the pump one time in each nostril to receive the total dose. The maximum concentration for Natesto is achieved within approximately 40 minutes of administration and has a half-life ranging from 10 to 100 minutes. The total testosterone concentrations of the patient should be checked periodically after treatment begins. Medication should be discontinued if the test shows the total testosterone concentrations consistently exceeding 1050 ng/dL. Other alternative medication should be considered if the total testosterone concentrations are consistently below 300 ng/dL. Below you will find a typical dosage of Natesto.
