Nortrel is a birth control drug that contains female hormones, estrogen and progestin that help prevent pregnancy. Nortrel also helps to:

Nortrel brings about a change in the cervical mucus and uterine lining making it difficult for the sperm to get to the egg and also for the fertilized egg to attach to the uterus.
Like most contraceptives, Nortrel is packed in 21 or 28 days packages. That only means that a package should be taken according to your menstrual cycle. Nortrel dosage is listed below:
- 28 days package; one tablet should be taken daily for 28 days. A new package is started the following day
- 21 days Package; one tablet is taken every day for 21 days. Follow this with 7 days of no medication. A new package is started the following day

Nortrel Side Effects
