Nuedexta Uses
Nuedexta is used to treat pseudobulbar affect (PBA); PBA is a type of emotional incontinence that leads to a sudden outburst of involuntary crying or laughing despite the lack of sad or humorous events to trigger those emotions. Nuedexta also helps regulate excitatory neurotransmission; this transmission is done in two ways. First, through presynaptic inhibition of glutamate release through receptor agonist activity. Second, in the treatment of postsynaptic glutamate response modulation through uncompetitive, low-affinity NMDA antagonist activity. Nuedexta should be used strictly as prescribed by the physician. Below you will find the uses of Nuedexta.
