It can also be used for various conditions as determined by your doctor.Acetaminophen reduces fever and pain.Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant. It also acts on the cough reflex in the brain that activates coughing.Doxylamine is an antihistamine. It lessens the impacts of histamine, a natural chemical, in the body. Histamine can cause symptoms of watery eyes, itching, sneezing, and a runny nose. NyQuil flu liquid doesn't treat a cough that is brought by smoking, emphysema, or asthma.

    Use exactly as prescribed by your doctor, or as directed on the label. Do not use for longer than the recommended period. Cough and cold drug is normally taken only for a short time until your symptoms clear up. The recommended dosage is shown below;

    • Adults & children ?12 years: Infusing the liquid, take 30 ml (2 tablespoons) after every 6 hours.
    • If you are taking LiquiCaps, 2 should be taken with water every 6 hours.
