Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease associated with the breakdown of the cartilage in joints. This disease causes the cartilage to be stiff and lose its elasticity. When the cartilage wears away, it causes the ligaments and tendons to stretch thus leading to pain.
On the other hand, Actinic keratosis is a skin condition that occurs in areas exposed to sun such as the ears, face, nose, chest, back of hands, and the forearms. It causes small rough and scaly spots that appear like dry skin patches. This condition is precancerous meaning it could develop into skin cancer.
