  • Treximet Uses

Treximet is used in the treatment of migraine headaches. Treximet relieves other migraine symptoms like nausea, sensitivity to light and omitting and relieves headache pain. Sumatriptan, one of the substances found in treximet, relieves pain by narrowing the blood vessels around the brain.

Treximet may also work by affecting serotonin which causes the blood vessels in the brain to e narrow. Naproxen on the other hand, works by reducing the hormones that bring about pain and inflammation in the body. Treximet, however, does not prevent any future migraines that may occur or reduce the number of attacks. It only helps to control a headache that has already occurred. Treximet may also be used to treat other conditions as prescribed by your doctor.
